Founded in 2017, Korean brand ROUND LAB has always placed high-quality raw materials at the forefront of its skincare formulations. Round Lab uses clean, natural ingredients derived from different regions in South Korea: rich mineral components from the deep sea waters of Ulleungdo, Birch sap from the Northern mountainous region of Inje and Mugwort from Geomundo Island, on the southern coast of Korea.
Round Lab’s formulations are created according to consumers’ needs, with careful consideration to the benefits of using clean ingredients to make up its product line. Round Lab products are paraben-free, SLS sulfate-free, fragrance-free, essential-oil free, allergen free, and free from environmental pollutants.
Round Lab has taken steps to ensure that its contribution extends beyond skincare. With nature in mind, it is committed to using only eco-friendly packaging, using soy based ink for printing and recycled paper for packaging.
Round Lab’s first project, the 1025 Dokdo Line was created to announce Doko Day, commemorating Emperor Gojong's designation of Dokdo as an annexed island of Ulleungdo on October 25, 1900. Round Lab’s most popular series, the 1025 Dokdo Line is made for all skin types and aims to soothe skin irritated by the external environmental stressors. The deep ocean waters of Ulleungdo infuse this product line with as many as 72 different minerals and micro-nutrients. Working together with other carefully selected ingredients, 1025 Dokdo products maintain the skin's oil-water balance.
Round Lab’s 365 Line encompasses products that find its place into everyday routines, all year round. The 365 line is infused with brightening and soothing ingredients geared for all skin types to combat skin aging and skin cancer from the exposure of UV rays.
While other cosmetic brands source ingredients around the world for high quality raw materials, Round Lab strives to create better quality and meaningful products through continuous research and development of the unique raw ingredients found in various parts of South Korea.
Products from this line contain birch extract as the star ingredient, sourced from the silver birch trees of Inje Island, Gangwon Province. Known for its soothing, moisturizing and refreshing properties, Round Lab’s Birch Juice line works wonders for those with dehydrated skin. Birch Juice extract is loaded with nutrients, amino acids, and antioxidants which helps improve skin texture and strengthen the skin’s barrier.
Black soybean extract from the Jeongseon highlands provides deep nourishment to the skin. It is known for its many beauty benefits: its antioxidant properties promise to improve skin texture, address the effects that environmental stressors have on skin, and help maintain skin elasticity and keep wrinkles, fine lines, discoloration and dark spots at bay. It also has moisturizing properties to ensure that skin remains supple.
This line contains calming and soothing mugwort extract sourced from Geomundo Island. Located on the southernmost end of Dadohaehaesang National Park, the islands receive an endless supply of fresh sea breeze. Mugwort, an aromatic herb, is regarded for its anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant, and skin protective properties. This line targets those with dry, irritated skin, as well as those with more mature skin.
We do not want to make a commitment about how large this brand will grow in the coming 5 or 10 years. What we want to do is to be able to convey what we want to say, produce good products, enjoy what we are doing, and let ROUND LAB and consumers coexist together.
